Silent Disco
The Dutch DJs Nico Okkerse and Michael Minton have been described as “the pioneers and the legends of silent disco” because they started their silent disco events in 2002. A silent disco or silent rave is an event where people dance to music listened to on wireless headphones. Rather than using a speaker system, music is broadcast via a radio transmitter with the signal being picked up by wireless headphone receivers worn by the participants.
Silent discos offer a fun and safe entertainment option allowing participants to dance and socialise without excessive noise levels. This makes Silent Disco a great all inclusive activity. Usually at these events, two or three different channels will be active, so that people with different music tastes can choose which music channel they want to listen to.
