Learner Handbook 24

How will I produce my own work? The Google tools you will mainly be using for creating your written work will be Google Docs, Google Slides and Google Sheets. As they are cloud-based, this means that you can access them anywhere at any time so long as you have access to a device. It’s even possible to work on these documents offline and then they can update when your device hits the internet. Making sure you can access your work when you want and when you need to is an important philosophy of the college. These tools are great for collaboration with others and allow your lecturers to leave feedback on your work within the documents themselves. Other tools that will be available for you to use as a student As a student, you will have a Gmail account as well, this will host any notifications or formal communications. Then there is Google Chat that is used across the college, which is a communication tool that has a more of a social media feel about it. Other cloud based tools from Google include having your own student account access to Jamboard, YouTube, Google Maps, Google Keep, Google Forms and Google Meet to mention just a few.
